Preparing for a day in the Walt Disney World parks

Les essentiels à apporter avec vous dans un sac à dos pour une journée parfaite dans les parcs du Walt Disney World

A day in the Walt Disney World parks in Orlando requires a minimum of preparation so that we can enjoy our day to the full. Preparation that doesn’t show up in any souvenir photos, but which contributes to the smile and smooth running of your day. Here are a few ideas that have helped most of us during our visits. On your marks, get set? Get set!

Choosing the right backpack

The choice of backpack or backpacks is not to be overlooked. I recommend that they be lightweight and not too bulky.

Tips for choosing the ideal backpack:

First of all, opt for a backpack that breathes at the back, because yes, it’s hot there and it gets uncomfortable pretty quickly. Next, make sure you’re comfortable in the shoulder area, otherwise you risk serious pain, especially if you add a few souvenirs. Those with small strings aren’t ideal because they often hurt with weight, but the choice is yours! As far as I’m concerned, trying it is eliminating it!

Now, if you have a larger family, why not divide your belongings into 2 backpacks? And take turns being the designated carrier?

If you have a stroller, this can help lighten the load. By the way, they are available for hire at the entrance to each park.

What to bring: list of essentials

Even though Walt Disney World is very pleasant and accessible at any time of day, having to return to the hotel because we’ve forgotten something is sometimes a less pleasant experience.

Here are the essential items to bring:

  • MagicBand+ or Key to the world park pass.
  • Cellular with the My Disney experience app, where you’ll find park maps, schedules, waiting times for attractions and much more. You can also take great souvenir photos.
  • Portable charger.
  • Credit, debit or cash cards if you don’t use MagicBands+.
  • Sun cream.
  • Sunglasses.
  • Cap, hat.
  • Water bottle (which you can refill in the parks) to keep you well hydrated.
  • Snacks for the little ones’ sudden cravings.
  • Soothing pacifier for little ones.
  • Plastic raincoat.
  • Ziploc-style resealable plastic bags (1,2) for various utilities, when you need them you’ll be glad you have them! ѤѣѢѡ

Additional options for a comfortable day

  • Small jacket, on your waist or in your backpack, because sometimes in certain attractions or restaurants, they’re generous with the air-conditioning.
  • Ibuprofen or other, just in case. Epipen (put your prescription label on it, even for the airport, it will be necessary).
  • Hydrocolloid dressing for sudden blisters.
  • Wet wipes
  • Cooling towel or scarf (wet to cool your neck) for hot weather. Small portable fan for the more sensitive.

And above all…

Don’t forget your smile, your childlike heart… your enthusiasm and your patience to make the most of this wonderful day in a magical land!

Have a nice day!
