We’re halfway through the most wonderful time of the year, and there’s really no better place to celebrate the holidays than the most magical place on Earth!

From dazzling decorations and special parades to exclusive events and delicious seasonal treats, there’s something for everyone. And since we’re halfway through the holiday season, here are 5 new and returning features that will make families want to plan the ultimate holiday trip to Walt Disney World Resort in Florida.

Special offers for stays at Disney Resort hotels

Staying at a Disney Resort hotel is a unique experience, immersing families and friends in the same attention to detail, service and legendary storytelling as in the parks. Imagine that with Christmas trees, cheerful decorations and the delicious smell of gingerbread houses created by world-class culinary teams!

To make it even sweeter, from June 27, 2024, you can save up to 30% on rooms at selected Disney Resort hotels for stays on most nights from November 24 to December 25, 2024, and further savings for stays on most nights from Sunday to Thursday between October 6 and November 21, 2024. You can also get the free Park Hopper option added to your tickets when you book a Walt Disney Travel Company package with us that includes tickets to the theme parks for at least 4 days at the regular rate.

1. Disney Jollywood Nights return for Christmas 2024!

Get ready for a glamorous evening, as Disney Jollywood Nights rolls out the red carpet once again! On selected evenings from November 9 to December 21, you can enjoy five festive hours from 7.30pm to 12.30am at this limited-capacity event, requiring a separate ticket.

Get ready to gather on Hollywood Boulevard for a dazzling new skating show set to favorite holiday tunes. Several times each evening, admire the grace and skill of international champion skaters in a breathtaking version of the traditional ice show.

Cuddles with rare characters on your holiday wish list? Great! This year’s event includes over 20 unique character experiences, both new and favorite.

Join beloved characters like Phineas and Ferb, Santa Duffy and Santa Stitch, and expect to see new faces like Bo Peep, Lotso, Baloo and King Louie from TaleSpin. Don’t forget, Disney PhotoPass digital downloads are included in your ticket for this very special evening!

Returning favorite culinary delights – including Gertie’s famous cookie! – will be available alongside new treats. At check-out, you’ll also receive a sweet created by Wondermade!

Even more surprises: in addition to meeting favorite characters, sampling delicious treats and shopping, the evening will be filled with entertaining shows like What’s This? Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas Sing-Along, Disney Holidays in Hollywood and Jingle Bell, Jingle BAM!

The Fiesta en la Calle des fêtes will move to Animation Courtyard, where families and friends can catch a glimpse of Jose Carioca and Panchito from Les Trois Caballeros! Meanwhile, the Twilight Soirée at Tip Top Club, located in the Tower Courtyard, will have guests dancing the night away! Jazzy Holidays at Hollywood Brown Derby will return – we recommend booking due to limited space. Stay tuned for more information on bookings in September.

If you have a reservation at one of the selected Disney Resort Hotels, Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Hotels and Shades of Green, you can buy these tickets from July 2. For all others, tickets go on sale on July 10. The dates for 2024 are :

• November: 9, 13, 16, 18, 23, 25, 30
• December: 2nd, 7th, 11th, 14th, 18th, 21st

2. Christmas 2024: The festive return of Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party

Nothing beats the holiday cheer and spirit brought to Magic Kingdom by Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party!

If you’ve got a sweet tooth, you’ll be delighted to know that delicious free cookies and hot chocolates will once again be available throughout the evening, making the party even sweeter. Every evening will be filled with festive cheer, from beautifully decorated Main Street, U.S.A. to holiday-themed attractions.

Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party is a limited-capacity, five-hour event, starting on November 8 and running on selected evenings until December 20, from 7pm to 12am. Guests at selected Disney Resort Hotels, Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Hotels and Shades of Green can purchase tickets from July 2, 2024. For all other guests, tickets go on sale on July 10.

The dates for 2024 are :

• November: 8, 11, 12, 14, 15, 17, 19, 21, 22, 24, 26, 27, 29
• December: 1, 3, 5, 6, 8, 10, 12, 13, 15, 17, 19, 20

3. EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays

Holidays are a global tradition – and we can’t get enough of the sensational sights, sounds and tastes at the EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays, November 29-December 30, 2024!

Enjoy festive traditions from around the world with incredible holiday storytellers, delicious food, merchandise, entertainment and more, each celebrating unique cultural traditions.

Get ready to satisfy your festive cravings in the Holiday Kitchens. Spread across the park and serving a tempting variety of seasonal dishes and drinks, delights from around the world await you.

A fan favorite is the Candlelight Processional. Listening to a celebrity narrator tell the Christmas story, accompanied by a full orchestra and huge choir, is a moving experience – it really captures the magic of the holidays. Keep an eye on Disney Travel News for this year’s list of narrators.

4. More festive offers throughout the Walt Disney World Resort for Christmas 2024

We’re thrilled to share that many of our favorite festive offerings are returning to the parks and Disney Springs this season!

At Disney’s Animal Kingdom theme park, the wonderful Merry Menagerie of handcrafted animal puppets will make its return amidst the magnificent holiday decorations. And don’t forget to meet Mickey, Minnie, Donald and Daisy in their festive outfits!

At the park Disney’s Hollywood Studiosthe party projection show on theHollywood Tower Hotel returns, and you can see Woody, Jessie and Buzz Lightyear in their party outfits in Toy Story Land.

The Magic Kingdom theme park will once again play host to the “Frozen Holiday Surprise”.Frozen Holiday Surprise“in front of Cinderella’s Castle, featuring Elsa, Anna, Olaf, Kristoff and the adorable Snowgies.

Meanwhile, Disney Springs is the perfect place for holiday shopping, with dazzling decorations and the popular Christmas Tree Stroll. And don’t miss the magical snowfall in Town Center – yes, snow in Central Florida!
